Now, on a “Brighter” note

Blog vol 4.14. Now, on a “Brighter” note.

It is Bright Run time! Saturday, September 9, 2023 is the big day. The Bright Run is a Hamilton walk/run event in support of breast cancer research.  This is my week out of the office but I did want to plug this event.

Our very own Dr. Jerilee Nyman was a big supporter of the Bright Run and battled breast cancer for two years. She has been gone for a year and a half; sadly, this will be the second Bright Run without her. Her family and friends continue to support this event, acknowledging all she went through, and just plain missing her, at Burlington Eyecare and in all of our lives.  If there is any way to help make it so other people do not have to go through what Jerilee and her family did, we are all for it. Go Bright Run!!!

The Bright Run location changes annually, with the 2023 Run being held at Christie’s Conservation Area. All funds go directly to breast cancer research. The website here gives you all the details.

This is a fun family event that provides great support to families struggling with breast cancer. So if you can donate, great; if you can volunteer, awesome; and if you can run, stupendous.

Til next week, think pink!
