Mary Sales

Licensed Optician

Licensed as an optician in 1971, Mary’s expertise in optical work is in a class of its own. She has been with Burlington Eyecare for over 13 years off and on, and we are so grateful for her vibrant presence, optical expertise, and eye for fashion. Mary loves her work both for its technical and fashion oriented aspects as well as for the opportunities to work with people. In her spare time Mary enjoys cooking, gardening, and travelling with her husband Roger.

Pankaj Gill

Licensed Optician

Gill was born in Northern India. He moved to Canada as an international student in 2016 and pursued an education in Opticianry. 

He completed his studies as a graduate from Georgian College in 2019. Gill joined our team at Burlington Eyecare as a Licensed Optician

and loves assisting our wonderful patients. In his spare time, Gill enjoys photography, cooking, playing soccer, travelling and learning about different cultures.


Justine Lachance

Licensed Optician

Justine started training as an optician right after high school, completing the course at Georgian College with honours in 2015. Justine is passionate about what she does with a love for all things optical, from fine detailed work and repairs, to frame selection. She understands the importance of eyewear not only being functional but also matching one’s own unique style & individuality. In her spare time, you can find her jamming with her band or enjoying the outdoors, swimming, hiking and foraging.

Roger Sales

Lab Manager

After many years of exemplary service as a Licensed Optician, Roger Sales has rededicated his focus to Lab Management and Quality Control. In this capacity, Roger trains and oversees lab staff in the manufacturing and inspection of your eyewear, passing on his over 40 years of experience to the next generation of Lab Technicians and Licensed Opticians. We are very fortunate to have Roger managing our lab here at Burlington Eyecare, and are forever grateful for the knowledge and expertise he continues to share with our staff. Roger enjoys classic cars, jokes, and traveling with his wife.

Christopher Germain

Lab Technician

Christopher has been working for Burlington Eyecare since June of 2022. He enjoys working with Roger in the lab as a technician producing high quality and precision products. Outside of work, he is a full-time student with a major in history. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, recreational sports, and spending time with family and friends including his adoring nieces and nephews. 

Optometric Staff

Our Burlington Eyecare team of optometrists and Licensed Opticians is joined by trained support staff who are responsible for helping the clinic run smoothly day-to-day.

Karen

Office Manager

Karen was born and raised in the Toronto area. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Guelph and has a background in Healthcare Administration which led her to Burlington Eyecare in 2015. Karen enjoys her interaction with our wonderful patients on a daily basis. When Karen is not busy at work, she enjoys biking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Nelmari

Administrative Staff

Originally from South Africa, Nelmari moved to the GTA in 1999. After being a stay at home mom for many years, she has found her place at Burlington Eye Care in 2023, fulfilling her passion of working with patients. You can find her at the front desk with a smile, warmly assisting patients and the staff at BEC. She loves animals, the outdoors, and walks in the many trails around Ancaster. In her free time she enjoys a variety of crafts, painting and reading.

Harjeet

Administrative Staff

Harjeet joined Burlington Eyecare in August of 2022. She has worked in healthcare administration since 1997 in various fields including chiropractic, rehab and medical transcription, and she is happy to now be able to apply her skills in the optometric setting. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, travelling, and working out.

Caroline

Administrative Staff & Pre-Tester

Caroline started at Burlington Eyecare in 2018, and is always busy pre-testing patients and doing administrative work. She grew up in Melbourne, Australia, but also lived in Holland for a few years where she learned to speak Dutch. In her spare time she likes to travel, read, exercise, and tend to her garden. 

Laura

Administrative Staff & Pre-Tester

Originally from Toronto, Laura moved to Burlington in 2004. After many years in a different industry, Laura found her home here at Burlington Eyecare in 2021. You will find her pretesting and assisting the administration team. You will most likely hear her laughing as she loves a good joke. In her spare time she enjoys reading biographies, working out and hanging out with her French Bulldog Freddie.

Emily

Administrative Staff & Pre-Tester

Emily has been with Burlington Eyecare since 2021. As an optometric assistant, she helps with pre-testing patients and providing assistance at the front desk. On weekends, you may find her exercising her creative side as a photographer. She loves spending time outdoors and spends most of her spare time hiking, camping or travelling with her husband. 

Abigail

E-Communications & Digital Marketing Coordinator

Abigail has taken on many roles at Burlington Eyecare over the years and is passionate about helping the BEC team to provide the best care possible for every client. Starting in 2022, Abigail is excited to be working behind the scenes as the e-communications and digital marketing coordinator. In her spare time, Abigail enjoys dance, books, the outdoors, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
