Art to me is special... a passion & a purpose. The miraculous is all around us. Treasures lie at our feet, bend in the wind above our heads, and unfurl stems at our kneecaps. Usually we walk right by without seeing them. Every painting, abstract or impressionist, is an attempt to say, "Stop! Look at this. No, really, take a minute and just look"
I've loved creating art since I was a child, but my family insisted that I follow a different direction... one that would ensure a "successful career & a steady income. Art was put away, education became the focus, and eventually my "corporate life" took over.
Now retired, I am excited to at last "have free time" and am enjoying the luxury of spending most of my time developing as an artist I am currently experimenting with various subject matter using acrylics and watercolour, and am exploring various genres including abstract compositions, landscapes, florals and hyperrealism.
My paintings have found permanent homes in Canada, and the U.S.A.
