Retinoscopy

Which is better, one or two?  When we work to obtain a prescription for eyeglasses, contacts or for Lasik, we will ask this important question.  Before we do this, we obtain your prescription by looking into your eyes with light.

Retinoscopy is a time honoured method of obtaining a prescription without  any input from the patient.  It is invaluable when seeing a toddler, or a cognitively challenged patient.  The results from this test come very close to the final prescription. 

At Burlington Eyecare we have a machine that automatically does this for us.  With most of our patients, we still fine tune it with that most profound question!
