Colour Vision Testing

Some people are born with what we call "colour blindness”, meaning they have difficulty distinguishing different colours. Most common is the confusion of red and green.
There are a number of job vocations that require excellent colour discrimination, for example, an airplane pilot, train engineer or police officer. Colour vision testing should be done at an early age.
At Burlington Eyecare, we use Ishihara Colour Plates and/or the Farnsworth D-15 to detect colour defects.
